Meet your Hosts

All Our horses are exceptionally well trained, light in the mouth, easy off your leg, respond to voice command and have great brakes. They're all responsive rides.

Eamon

Eamon Approx 17hh. Irish Sports Horse. In Eamon's previous life he was an eventer, competing at a fairly high level and latterly went on to do show jumping and dressage, doing extremely well in both disciplines and achieving championship status. Unfortunately the life no longer suited him and he found his way to Lunga stables. Eamon is an exceptional horse and tries his best to please at all times. He dances beautifully in the school. He is the definition of a gentle giant.

Ollie

16hh. Pure bred Appaloosa. Ollie is a local guy. He was born and bred here. He is a herd leader and stoic, loves the ladies and will do anything for the girls. He very much looks after his rider even when the rider gets it wrong, Ollie is willing to help them out. Olly has done very well in the past competing in the discipline of western trail and had numerous wins. However he does prefer to be out on the trails.  Fully western trained.

Maddie

15.3hh Pure bred Irish draft. Where do we start with this Dance Diva. This girl has all the moves. Strong minded, Does not suffer fools. Always gives 100% in everything, jumps like a stag. Regularly competes in different disciplines and does extremely well and has achieved many championship status'.  Recently competed at Scottish national level. She has a big presence. Patricia's warhorse.

Big Ted

15.2hh American Paint horse. What can we say about Big Ted, where do we start. He has a larger than life character and a total showman. He enjoys being the centre of attention and loves nothing more than a bit of fun. He is a fast learner, keen and eager to please and answer every question asked of him. He is a smooth, fun loving criminal. He has competed in various western disciplines and done exceedingly well and has established lateral work and lead changes as well as spin and rollback.

Sioux

14.3hh Unusual interesting breeding. Appaloosa x dales. Sioux enjoys being part of the herd and is happiest when in amongst the other horses. She is very easy going. Sioux came to us as she was on a bit of a journey and it was felt she needed to be a part of a bigger herd to re-establish confidence as she'd had a bad experience. Not only did Sioux find herself again, she gained much more confidence and has continued to grow in personality.

LOLA

15.1hh Welsh D x cob. Lola is new to the herd. She is forward going but completely honest and trustworthy. She's a leg in each corner kind of gal and is extremely powerful in her stature. She enjoys getting out, she tries to please you and do her best for you.

BOB

14.2hh Bob the Cob. Bob is a powerhouse. He is a fun loving criminal. Doesn't seem to take life too seriously, easy-going. He will adjust to his rider and is currently showing real promise as a western trained cob. He is still a work in progress but has the right mindset and is uncomplicated type of guy and enjoys a dook in the water.

FRANKIE

14.2hh American Paint Horse. Our Blue eyed boy, Frankie not only has the looks, he can bust some moves. He is sweet and gentle, athletic, and has extremely good manoeuvres. He can navigate his way through and over obstacles with no problem at all.  He is fully western trained and again has established lead changes. He has competed at national level in various western disciplines and done extremely well.

TILLY

14.2hh Pure bred American Quarter horse. Exceptionally beautiful, she could be described as a catwalk model in the horse world. She has big expressive eyes akin to a deer. Tilly really looks after her riders and is extremely smooth to ride. She never goes any faster than the person is capable of and looks after her rider extremely well. Tilly has excelled herself in various western disciplines.

FROSTY

14.1hh Pure bred American quarter horse. Where do we start with this one. Wow. This little hot pocket rocket has it all. She has the fanciest footwork and the fastest draw you've ever seen. She has competed in the European circuit extensively. Frosty was imported from Germany as a youngster. She is every inch a school mistress. This wee horse has more accolades than the average person has in a lifetime with a horse. Frosty loves nothing more than living out in the comfort of her friends. She is the sweetest natured gentlest horse to be around. She is very much the lowest in the pecking order of everything she does and we spend a lot of time ensuring that Frosty feels seen and heard due to this.

TWEED

13.1hh Welsh C x traditional gypsy cob. Maybe the smallest of the troop, but by no means the smallest in nature. Sure footed, she's extremely comfortable. Essentially she's a big horse trapped inside a small body. Tweed is always first to the gate and very confident in herself. Just the right amount of sass for a small pony. Affectionate and friendly, with a gorgeous face. Loved by many.
